  • When you came online to find some solutions, what was it you were searching for?

Instead of finding solutions, did you just end up gaining more unanswered questions?

What are you here to do?

Most answers will link back to finding your purpose. There’s nothing biblical about that. Finding your purpose simply means to create life alignment.

There are two types of questions.

    1. Internal Questions. They can only be answered by you. You hold the answers. Asking yourself these types of questions is the only way of finding your purpose, and therefore work out how to go about fulfilling that potential. Asking internal questions is the basis of the powerful coaching process, and the most fundamental of all the coaching tools. To be able to effectively coach yourself, you will need to practice using this fundamental coaching tool.

    Example:

What would it take for me to move forward? What is my purpose? How can I make the life I dream of happen?

    2. External Questions. They need outside input (a consultant, internet access to do research, books etc.) to gain the answers.

    Example:

What are the trends right now? How safe is [country] to visit at the moment? What is the sky diving technique?

(Though you can still coach yourself to the answer of hiring a consultant, researching on the internet etc.)

People often look for external answers (consultant, mentor, book etc) to an internal problem.

If you do that, you will be forever in the pursuit of answers. Like trying to find the end of a ball of string, and just getting tangled.

‘You may never know what results come of your action, but if you do nothing there will be no result.

    -Mahatma Gandhi

Personal development always helps organizational development. As every individual behavior adds to the organizational behavior, desire of personal development of every individual also adds to the overall development of the organization. We cannot solve today’s problems with yesterday’s solutions. Solutions are the result of individual thoughts and actions. If every individual develop their creative thinking skills through personal development, that organization will flourish consistently. If you have new targets to enhance the business turnover of the company, then you have to develop your team to achieve your goals. You cannot achieve new goals and new heights with old people having same knowledge, skills and attitude. They have to develop their knowledge, skills, abilities and attitude for their personal development as well as company’s progress.

Help the employees identify their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Help them to develop goals with qualities of specific, measurable, attainable, result oriented and time bound.
