  • What is the reason you want to be motivated? Just answering this question truthfully can be a great way to get daily motivation. Combining this method with some of the other methods below has proven to work well for others in the past. The chances are good that some of the methods outlined will work well for you too.

    Motivate Yourself In Seven Steps

    1. Share Your Plans. To stop procrastinating, tell someone close to you what you intend to do and this will usually get you back into the mood to continue. Find a good listener that will also be able to give you encouragement. This will work well to get you motivated if your plans are ones that you really want to achieve.

    2. Utilize Your Desires. Visualize the end result of your goal. Imagination is a powerful motivator that is used to sign people up to get rich quick scams. Good salesmen can have you picturing yourself in a dream home within minutes, which is a great motivator to get your deposit together, or sign the dotted line. You can use this tactic to your own advantage.

    3. Utilize Pain. Use Neuro-Linguistic Programming to understand the pain involved with not taking action. For example, picturing your kids in jail for drug use can motivate you to have a talk with them about drugs before it gets to that stage. This will help the act of linking rewards to action. Linking pain to not taking action is a great motivator.

    4. Take An Interest. Having an interest in your goal will help keep you motivated enough to follow through but if you don’t have an interest and you still need to complete it, just remember the reasons you have for beginning in the first place.

When a friend is hurting, lost and all alone,
I can comfort their heart and guide them home.

When my husband is tired and needs tender loving care,
In his arms I fall to let him know that I’m there.

When my kids are feeling sad and tears fall from their eyes,
A kiss I will always grant for the rest of their lives.

When a lost soul is wondering like a blind man in the night,
I can hold their hand and guide them to the light.

When my work day is over and everyone is okay,
I sat in my quiet corner not sure what to say.

Tired and drained as their pain re-enters my mind,
I can’t shake their visions; I can’t leave my work behind.

As I close my eyes and cry myself to sleep,
I feel arms around me and someone rubbing my feet.

A soft voice whispered and called me by name.
He spoke the most beautiful words of comfort that it removed my pain.

As my body let go and my mind did the same,
I knew at that very moment that I would never be the same.

For those of you motivators, teacher, preachers, like me,
Allow God’s Holy Spirit to continue to comfort thee.

Motivators, take a moment and replenish your heart, mind and soul.
The more you pour out, the more you will behold.

Many people do not believe that what we do is effective. Only the fruit of our labor will show the success of our motivation to others. But the greatest compliment you will ever receive is the gift to be healthy enough, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually to continue to stand in front of the masses to inspire and motivate them to press on.
